Magic Moments In A Nile River Cruise

Being a keen traveller, I’ve visited so many different places and have experienced incredible moments that just the travelling experience can provide. Having experienced great moments of awe and admiration towards the nature’s miracles. From the mighty Iguacu Waterfalls in the borders of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguy to the breath taking site of Machu Pichu and from the solitude of Sahara to the deep blue of the Aegean Sea my eyes have seen so much and my senses have experienced even more.

However, if I ever had the chance to pick up one particular moment out of all those moments I would choose the time as I spent in Egypt with a river trip in the Nile being the ultimate highlight. it is impossible to put into words all those emotions and that great energy of the powerful river that used to be as sacred as the Sun. Until that day I wasn’t keen on river cruises as I couldn’t see any point having a cruise in a river.

Being a typical sea-born person I wouldn’t expect to feel so good anywhere far from the sea. Although I had spent some years of my life living in Budapest and Prague that were built in the Danube’s banks, I was never amazed by any river until that day.

During my travel in Egypt I met a very interesting American guy that was an expert in cruise deals and managed to make inhibitions go away and try one. As he said, you may have only one chance in life for some experiences which was enough to make me give in. There were so many tour operators selling Nile River Cruises at the town of Aswan that I couldn’t resist trying a river cruise for the first time.

And what an experience it was, travelling in the mighty river Nile. Because its mouth is located into the Mediterranean sea the whole landscape seemed familiar. Thinking that it is the longest river in the world makes one realise how vital it is for that huge arid piece of land that goes all the way down into Ethiopia and Uganda. So intense was the experience I had that it makes no wonder why ancient Egyptians worship had the Nile at its center.

The boats are very luxurious as well, in fact they are the same sort of standard as 4-5 star hotels, and you can usually get them for a really cheap price.

  5. The Temples of Karnak are another important sight to see. Everyone should go here! If you have to, then make sure you put time aside for this wonder, it is a truly amazing place to experience, where the Egyptians once worshipped their gods! There is a monument there to almost every god in the area!

Awesome Things To Do In Egypt

There do seem to be a lot of people out there that think that going on one of those Egypt holidays is a complete waste of time as you can see everything the country has to offer in any decent museum across the world. Well in all honest opinion these people are just plain mad, Egypt has far more on offer other than just the history that you can go and see.

Diving

The Red Sea is one of the most loved destinations in the world when it comes to diving and it really does deserve its title simply because of all of the animals that can be found among its waters.

Camel Trading

No this is not something that you should jump in and take part in but something that it is very interesting to watch. This experience really is a very unique one indeed and it has to be watched.

Sport

A lot of the time this is not the first thing that people think about when planning a trip to Egypt but it you are into your golf then Egypt really is a fantastic place to go. This is because there are over 20 courses in the country and they range from playing in sight of the Pyramids to teeing off very close to the Red Sea itself.

Haggling

Make sure that at least once you get down to a market and start a bit of haggling with someone, try and get something you like for a small price, it is a great experience. It is a truly great but yet strange experience to take part in and there are many establishments that have actually been around for over 100 years.

So there you have it, get off to Egypt and take a vacation. Failing this why not try one of those Dubai holidaysor Barbados holidays.

Things that you must take with you on your Sharm El Sheikh Holiday!

Ok so you are preparing for your next holiday and you have decided on Egypt, or more specifically Sharm El Sheikh. So now that you have all of your packing almost finished, is there anything that you could have possibly forgotten. So the obvious checklist, something that everyone will hopefully remember is the passport, airline tickets and sun cream, please tell me your remembered sun cream!

So what do we know about Sharm El Sheikh, well a couple of clearly stated points are:

  • It is very warm and in most cases boiling hot.
  • The sun is completely inescapable at least until night time.
  • Now as for the sand, it does quite literally get everywhere (I mean Everywhere).
  • This is where you can indulge in all your diving loving, because your next to clear blue seas.

Now what can we establish from this? This information can be used to help us make some good decisions about what we need. This country may be very warm and quite dry, but it is important to remember the cultures. Flesh or at least the revealing of your body can be seen as rude and disrespectful, so please try to refrain from. Make sure you have a hat, it is one of the most simple pieces of clothing to have with you, and it can be a life saver, especially saving your head from the heat.

If you are thinking of diving, then make sure that you pack your own diving wet suit, it can be very difficult or expensive to rent one for a day or a week. OK people, well I mean ladies, please try to be a bit sensible, although one pair of high heels for an evening is a nice idea, do not bring any more.

Sharm El Sheikh holidays for all, this is such a popular holiday these days, now however people still seem more interested in Caribbean holidays and on the other side of Egypt, Hurghada holidays.

Sales on the rise for Thomas cook, Thank you Redknapp!

Celebrities capabilities have now become noticed by Thomas Cook. By using them in the same way as every other business on the planet would, by turning them into Advert monkeys. In order to be a bit different Thomas Cook took a different avenue. This tour operator has been largely dedicated to its UK customers, so used a celebrity loved by all in the UK. Jamie Redknapp is a very well known figure. Got to Dance is a show that is watched by many, and Louise is a judge on this. Both of these people are loved by the British public!

So what is that makes this advert even more special. Jamie and Louise are very favourable, especially in the public’s eyes. The Basic principles of the advert are that they arrive at their holiday and then relax on the beach. This can give some people the impression that, well, “if they can go there, maybe we can live like celebrities for a week or two as well”. I do however doubt very much that Mr and Mrs Redknapp do stay in these resorts on a regular basis, but never mind what do any of us know about the lifestyle of a celebrity.

There is never any bad press about this couple, in fact they appear in all kinds of adverts. This couple have worked well together, and do very well together. Thomas Cook is the longest running Tour Operator in the UK, so they are a very respected and trusted Tour Operator. A combination of these celebrities and this specific business has seemed to take off very well.

Let’s take a second though and look at it from the other side. We all know that Celebrities don’t stay in the same resorts as us common folk. Surely these two are lying to us about the hotel they are really staying at? Somehow I do not think that this holiday is going to be all that great.

Sharm El Sheikh Holidays are a favourite of the Celebrity demographic, showered in luxury hotels, however saying that Egypt holidays have been popular with the entire country. So is Thomas Cook wrong to be employing role models in their adverts, of course not, I have been on Hurghada holidays, what fun it was, no celebrities spotted though!

What you should do your best to avoid in trying or doing in Brazil!

This one maybe one of those helpful travel tips, but this one is a bit different to the norm. This time instead of boring you all with something that you should try on holiday, here is a list of things that you should do your best to avoid. It is always important to remember that sometimes things can go wrong, so without being scary, why not just try to stop that from happening.

Try not to look like much of a tourist, standing out can be a good thing, but most of the time it isn’t. Now i don’t want to patronise you, but just make sure you look after your money, even more so in Brazil. If you can be singled out easily from the crowd your become a very clear and easy to follow target.

Be wary of what you drink. Make sure that you request bottled water when drinking in restaurants or shops. There are some nasty bugs in the water that may not agree with your tummy, so best to stick with the bottles stuff. If you do try the tap water, be prepared to spend the majority of the holiday hovering over the toilet!

just make sure you stay near your Tour guide, this will need to be repeated, more people do it than normal. Oh my god you wouldn’t believe how stupid some people are. If you get taken somewhere you have never been before, especially if you are in the jungle. Make sure that you keep a book of all the nasty beasts in this country if your going to get lost, and a map, and a compass and maybe a helicopter.

Do not be rude. Your mother probably told you that you should treat people the way you want to be treated, well this was sound advice. Do not be bolshie or aggressive, you wll than likely find yourself in a situation that could be very difficult to get out of. If you can find a way to be a good person to all of these people, they will do the same for you.

Brazil holidays are becoming very popular, just keep in mid the above, even if you are on Luxury holidays. If this isn’t something that you are interested in then I can recommend more relaxing holidays like; Cuba holidays or Egypt holidays.

The Best place for your vacation this year!

I thought i would provide what the tour operators expect to be the top holidays of this year in the luxury department!

When looking at the list of holidays that New Yorkers believe could be the top holidays, they listed Sri Lanka as the top luxury holidays this year. Although it will cost a lot for you to reach, you won’t have to spend barely a penny when you get here. This is a place for most people to relax, however there are opportunities for safaris and of course luxury accommodation everywhere.

The Maldives is up next. Each hotel has an island to itself, jetting out over the water. The Spa treatments are basically the only form of recreational activity here. If you do actually want to do something that involves movement, then you can always try the diving with whale sharks!

Next up and of course is the island of St Lucia. Celebrities enjoy spending their holiday time in the Caribbean, so if you want to stalk them or live like them, this is where you should go. The joy about staying here is that if you have a smaller amount of money to spend, there are other hotels of lower star ratings to stay at as well. If you want to relax in a tropical yet hot environment, by the beach all the time, then St Lucia is a great option, and the drinks are good too!

Next on the top luxury list is Sharm El Sheikh. This may be the favourite of some and the bane of others, but to those that don’t like it, I say look at the figures. Luxury is something that is not over looked in Egypt, they do their best to make everything perfect. If you are not sure about the accommodation, you have nothing to worry about, this is amazing and it is extremely cheap as well. If you are a diving fanatic, then the Red Sea is a great place to visit, with Coral reefs, wildlife and sharks!

There are some others that are close to the top like Cuba holidays, any Caribbean holidays for that matter, and you never know you might find yourself indulging in Weddings abroad, suggest it to the Boyfriend, and see what happens!

Live Like King Tut On A Fabulous Egyptian Holiday

As one of the world’s first and foremost great civilisations, Egypt needs little introduction. It’s recently become a hot destination for a holiday and it’s no wonder why. Whether you’re a history buff or a sun worshipper, Egypt can happily accommodate you. From the hustle and bustle of thriving Cairo, to the tomb of King Tut in the Valley of the Kings and the brilliant shores of the Red Sea, Egypt has something for everyone.

With such a rich cultural past, history buffs in particular should put Egypt on the top of their holiday lists.  While Giza may be ‘stereotypical’ Egypt, it is definitely a sight worthy of seeing. It’s home to both the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx – two of Egypt’s most notable structures. The pyramids may be considered by some to be a bit cheesy but allow your mind to wander back to the ancient era and really consider what a great achievement they are.

If you’re really into pyramids you’ll enjoy a river cruise down the world’s longest river. There are over 70 different pyramids to be seen from the river banks! This is also a great way to get a taste of historic Egypt. Most cruises go between Luxor and Aswan. You can choose how many days you want to spend exploring the cities along this lively river. Definitely make sure to plan some time for exploring the Valley of the Kings. Out of the 63 tombs here, 18 are open to the public, including that of the world’s most famous pharaoh, King Tut. You’ll also be able to visit the nearby Valley of the Queens and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.

Holidaymakers who are looking to relax a bit more but still get in some of Egypt’s rich historical past should head to Sharm el Sheikh. Although it was once a tiny finishing town, it is now celebrated as one of the world’s best diving sites, and thus very popular with tourists. In addition to enjoying the underwater brilliance of the Red Sea and Sharm’s beautiful beaches, those looking for a glimpse at the past can trek the Holy Mountains. One of these famous peaks includes Mount Sinai, where Moses received the 10 Commandments. You can also visit St Catharine’s Monastery and see the ‘burning bush’, which is in fact not the actual bush but a monumental replacement.

Get relaxed for this year by heading out to a Spa hotel!

This time of year can be very stressful, starting back at work can really hit you quite hard? There may be a few of you however, that have managed to save a little holiday time for after Christmas? If you have then you may be better off booking a holiday built to help you relax, instead of spending it at home!

Well there are a couple of new opportunities on the holiday market for you to just relax. There are some people that just love to get looked after and pampered left, right and center, that’s where Spa holidays come in. Egypt and Europe have become to very popular places for people to indulge in these holidays. There are many therapies around two of the most unknown are Ayurveda and Thalassotherpay, giving a completely unique and different therapy to tourists.

Ayurveda is a relatively ancient technique, but with a fresh and new name, and actually originated over 5000 years ago. Using a combination of healing body and mind techniques this form of spa treatment endeavours to cure diseases and improve health with each treatment. Many people can try this technique and tell others about it, however if you go to a hotel, your experience will vary to anyone else’s; you can be sure to experience the oil massage therapy, and a nice warm herbal steam bath.

Thalassotherapy is a new technique that utilizes the healing abilities located in Sea Water. The sea water is thoroughly cleaned and drained, and then it is heated and pumped directly into a large bath tub. Each session requires a twenty minute time period, and it must be undertaken at least 3-4 times before full relaxation can be attained. Not only is this good for the body to heal, it is also very good for relaxation. There is a lot of evidence to show that this treatment does work and has been proven to help dissolve ashes and pains.

Now that Spa holidays are back on the rise which would you be most interested in? There are Spa hotels all over the place, so it may be a good idea to try you some Egypt Spa holidays!
